Scripture Memory (Verse #4)

It is more than memorization.

If we really believe this stuff that we have been reading about and talking about, learning and memorizing…

…if we really believe that the Word is true…

Then what are we doing about it? Are we demonstrating it? Living it? Sharing it with others?

Are we doers of this Word???

“Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the Word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it – not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it – they will be blessed in what they do.” (James 1:22-25, NIV)

What scripture are you learning and preparing yourself to live out more fully?

“Don’t mistake knowing the Word for obeying the Word, teaching the Word for applying the Word or believing the Word with living the Word.” -Christine Caine

  1. Isaiah 43:1-2
     But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob,
    and he that formed thee, O Israel,
    Fear not: for I have redeemed thee,
    I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
    When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee;
    and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:
    when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned;
    neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
